NonFic of the week 26 November

If I can get through the dual borefests (so far) of Main Street and On Such a Full Sea, I plan to read The Yellow House by Sarah Broom. It's a memoir about the home in New Orleans where Ms Broom grew up in her large family, and how it continues to impact her life, even after Katrina destroyed it. Goes into some of the ups and downs of living in New Orleans as well.

It's not often that people write about their own experiences with the relationship between houses and those who live within them.

So what non-fiction is everyone else reading this week?

Kick in to the DU tip jar?

This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.

As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.

Tell me more...
