From winning 10 games in a row twice in a month to losing nine out of their last 11 games. But it's way too early to write them off. This is just a temporary setback. It doesn't matter where you are in May; what matters is where you are in September and I look forward to them being on top in September. It's a long season. I also look forward to them being ahead of the Cardinals wherever they end up.

Sadly if this continues, they may become sellers instead of buyers at the trade deadline.

(1,118 posts)Apart from the series with the White Sox the offense has all but disappeared. Nico Hoerner is hitting .256. After flirting with .400 at the beginning of the season, Moises Ballesteros is hitting .240. Dansby Swanson is hitting .189. Michael Busch is hitting .224. And on and on; the bats are cold as ice and the pitching simply isn't good enough to cover for them.
