Anyone catch Tom Brady calling the game today?

He was as bad as it gets as far as I'm concerned. Greg Olsen and Kevin Burkhardt were a perfect fit, and sticking Brady in there simply because he's Tom Brady was a stupid move.

He doesn't have a great TV voice. A bit high pitched, IMO. Sibelius Fan Sep 2024 #1

Tom is good looking and has won more rings than anyone els in the game. He could or won't be an on air personality. OAITW r.2.0 Sep 2024 #2

See how he develops, or doesn't.

it’s probably going to take him a little while to get comfortable and figure out how he translates his experience into useful commentary.

Borderline whiny voice. Yeah he’s a rookie announcer but without the rookie salary. And yeah Fox you would have been fine and dandy sticking with the admirable Greg Olsen. And yes cal guy I agree, it was a stupid and expensive move.

My interesting factoid as a borderline obnoxious Saints Fan. Brady played Drew Brees eight times and lost six times. That includes two Chargers wins with Brees as QB.

And then there’s the cheating stuff but I digress.

I fail to see the relevance of time of game. Olsen got the job because he’s good. So why was he demoted from the BIG game? Brady got the job because he’s Brady. And then theirs the cheating. But I digress. Again.

. . . who really has no comparison in terms of his preparation, ability to explain offenses and enthusiasm.

I did hear a couple insights from Brady. One regarding the reason the Cowboys would call a run play on third and long and one on the need quarterbacks have for "breather" plays when there's a tough pass rush. But Romo's debut was really one of a kind.

he has every right to be green and nervous on the first day. I say we give him half a season.
