(19,324 posts)I am not aware that CTE comes on quickly. I thought the onset was delayed a few years.
But most of these athletes have been slammed around since high school. The damage is already done by the time they get to the NFL, where the injuries are worse.

(20,831 posts)I have a friend who works for ESPN and he said Brown's "issues" got much worse after the hit in 2016. Of course, CTE cannot be formally diagnosed until after death, so we don't really know when it starts.
There are tapes of the hit on YouTube, but most are blocked from linking them. Here's a link that should take you to YT.

(19,324 posts)Horrible to watch. That could cause a lifetime of problems.

(16,837 posts)I only wish the consequences were more dire and/or embarrassing for Brady and Arians who cynically authored this sad episode.

(14,482 posts)He said when they signed Brown that he wasn't going to put up with any shit, then Brown did his vaccine stunt and Arians welcomed him back like it was nothing.
They all get what they deserve.

(6,460 posts)He doesn't run the team Brady does and what Tommy wants, Tommy gets.
Arians is a figurehead. And a hypocritical one at that.

(19,324 posts)You'd have to follow him into the locker room to see the rest.
