The Sicily tour I was going on has been cancelled.

My agent called me this morning to inform me that the Sicily tour I was going on has been cancelled. I got another one booked about a week later in the month. Looking forward to going even though this new one is a bit different.

They sometimes cancel these and consolidate when they haven't sold enough berths to make it profitable.

Glad you have the flexibility to change your plans, though.

Did they offer you anything for your inconvenience? I would think a couple of $100 bar/restaurant credit should take care of it.

Bon voyage!

She said it was because there wasn't enough people signed on so the tour operator cancelled the tour. I'm just happy the operator didn't do the same thing the limo company did to my sister and cancel two or three days before the trip. (Said limo company cancelled on her the morning of the wedding, then cancelled her party bus while she was en-route to the church. Which reminds me I owe them some static on Yelp).

...unless you're already booked for a nicer seat, that is. Even that little bit of extra leg room in the "economy plus" section can make long flights a lot more comfortable.

Anyway, have fun!
