(67,904 posts)We took the trip through Road Scholar. In those years I traveled to Europe once or twice a year and was always looking for a travel buddy who liked art. I had a list of what I wanted to see and she was fine with it! It was nice to have an art buddy on DU!

All her teasers, interesting leads and just plain fun will be missed. Her photos, we used to compare what we had of similar subjects. Big tears right now. I really hardly knew her and this just makes it worse.
RIP Ellen. I will miss you, we all will until we join you. It won't be long.

(19,989 posts)We grew closer around a decade ago or so. I know how deeply she loved her family and how kindly she spoke of them to me.
We shared that love of our daughters and our grandchildren and we bonded over it. I'll always remember her fondly.
