(29,824 posts)...if we are at some social gathering, when he asks if I'm ready to leave, the answer is usually "Yes." Half an hour later, we'll still be there because he hasn't finished saying goodbye to everyone there. Sometimes he asks 3-4 times if I'm ready to go, and I resist the urge to be snarky and say, "I was ready the first time you asked."

People always tell introverts to get out of their comfort zone and meet people. No one ever tells extroverts to sit down and shut up.
