Unless a judge rules in her favor, the state will likely allow its 72 counties to decide whether they want to conduct the process manually or by machine. On Monday, a group of academics and other specialists agreed with Stein's argument that an automated recount would risk an incorrect tally. President-elect Donald Trump won Wisconsin 47.9 percent to Democratic rival Hillary Clinton's 46.9 percenta margin of just over 22,000 votes.
A manual count would be the only way to ensure that there had been no foreign interference, the experts said.

(17,502 posts)if so, they aren't hooked up to the internet, meaning they can't be hacked. Michigan uses paper ballots statewide. Stein doesn't give a rat's ass about freedom or democracy, she is a delusional or greedy ideologue who praises totalitarian dictators.

(6,602 posts)No machine counts. There's video of this Professor proving how easily these machines are hacked - which is why I'm glad Michigan requires the ballots to be hand counted in front of witnesses.

(17,502 posts)If I understand it correctly, to carry out such a high tech ballot stuffing, which this amounts to, it would require the machines in each county, or at least this chip in each county, to be infected with the malware. It is possible that a coordinated effort by dishonest Republican partisans could pull off such a project, but I don't buy the Russian intelligence bullshit.
Hopefully, this stunt will discover something, but you have to look at the larger picture.
While this is giving Stein her moment of fame, I don't see this ending well in the short or long term and Democrats will get stuck holding the bag. First, she targeted those three states. Those states and even Nate Silver said there was zero evidence. Stien even said there was zero evidence. There is also the issue of not states with even closer margins, where recounts typically happening. Of course Republicans noticed.
Here is the problem, Green partisans are noticing. Before you know it, people who don't identify with any party, the vast plurality, is starting to notice. There are different theories on her real motive. The one gaining traction is one that does not make us, Democrats, look good.
If this doesn't pan out, we will be really screwed for years to come.
