Renew Star Membership

Why am I having to put in personal address to get this? No matter what I do I can't get past this without putting in info I NEVER enter into my computer. Can I lie to it or will that make it fail too?

Also what is the CVV field? Is that the security code?

I no longer have a payPal account....no place to add a credit card????? Any suggestions?

I tried a bogus address since no one could answer my question and it rejected my gift card, which is a Visa card with 16 digits and an expiration date and a security code, so why won't it work?

PayPal's help page on this says, "If you get a declined message during checkout even if the prepaid gift card has enough balance to cover the full amount, then you may have to register your billing address with the card issuer. Look for a contact website or phone number on the back of the prepaid gift card to complete the registration process. Once registered, please try again."

It seems PayPal only accepts Visa gift cards if there is a registered billing address -- inventing an address won't work.
