(38,726 posts)They were from a movie of that name. No, I don't know why. I was bouncing from site to site and somehow got momentarily hooked on that movie/play...As I looked at the versions at You Tube, I came across the Elvis Presley version. I know that play from long ago, when I was in a Rogers & Hammerstein phase of looking at movies. 60 years ago, I was in a play "South Pacific" that got me interested in Rogers and Hammerstein..
...So, today, somehow I landed on that song from Carousel, and decided to listen to the Elvis version ..and I realized at that moment, I could copy that link, and post it in the lounge. That is how it happened. But, I love Rogers & Hammerstein musicals about as much as any plays or movies that I have ever seen. Oklahoma, South Pacific, etc. wonderful music and hopeful lyrics.
