I like this guy and bolded one point I think is necessary for a DNC chair to understand. I think he does understand this.

The second piece is having a national strategy that starts with where people are actually getting their information because we know that attention is now wildly fragmented. [Wikler mentioned TV, mail, blogging, and various social media platforms as examples.]
We have to start with the voter and then have a kind of everything everywhere, all at once strategy to make sure were showing up in those places. That doesnt mean everyone has to be everywhere. That means we have to have someone who is the right fit for that medium and that audience everywhere. And that work requires institution building.

(1,199 posts)3. Thanks, I wanted to post this as a contrast to Ken Martin
I haven't heard of Martin before either but listened to that interview. I just just heard from him pretty generic stuff, nothing insightful.
Also noticed the hosts didn't seem too impressed. Kind of an ok, smoothly presented, you're saying the right things like "we need to win" but do you have any actual insights on how to do this?
I've heard Wikler before and he really seems to understand how media and disinformation is a key. It's not just about building up a donor base.

(226,844 posts)4. Exactly, I wasn't impressed, either. I thought it was between Wikler and the former governor of Maryland.
I've seen them both and both impressed me. And DNC chairman has never been more important, we need to reclaim both Houses of Congress by the next midterms!
