Difficult to do if you are in the peasant class.

Hospitals are closing in rural areas, the insurers are broke, people can't pay the bills. You get a bill for something and it's pick a number $8,749.00, the insurer pays such and such, you have copays, and the hospital settles for $879.00. Doctors bills similar.

A few years ago I was discussing the fact that I could not afford to pay an estimated medical bill on my 11.00 an hour CS rep salary. with the head of HR. Mind you, I had health insurance--just couldn't afford to use it.

I'll never forget the response that HR director gave me.

She looked me dead in the eye and said, "Don't worry; you can pay $20 a month forever. They have to take whatever payment you give them."

And that's exactly where we're at as a country.

Half of us are regarded as peasants who will always somehow manage by hook-or-crook.

"Keep showing up for work, sucker, and take whatever crumbs we give you. You're lucky to have a job at all, working class stooge," is the attitude.

Can't afford medical care? Dental work? New glasses or a used car? Decent food? A house?

Then die, loser. Your only value to society is your ability to work and create profit for your overlords.

PS. Cato advised a similar strategy back in the glory days of ancient Rome.
When asked what he would do with old slaves too physically broken down to work anymore he advised: " Cut them loose or kill them."

That is capitalism in a nutshell.

Millions of Americans face steep rise in healthcare costs, leading to undue and untimely disability and/or death, and finally bankruptcy. And if two members of the same family face medical crises, the unfortunate and untenable choice whose medical care to finance.

The term "Obamacare" isn't used by the US government, and I've never heard a Democrat use the term. It makes me wonder about the source of this CNN video, however I have no desire to view it.
