Let's talk about Trump escalating down south again.... Belle of the Ranch
Well, howdy there Internet people. It's Belle again. So, today we're going to talk about Trump escalating down south again.
Trump blurted out something he probably shouldn't have. Trump said the US had directly hit Venezuelan soil. He said, "And we just knocked out, I don't know if you read or you saw, they have a big plant or a big facility where they send the, you know, where the ships come from. Two nights ago, we knocked that out. So, we hit them very hard."
Later, he was asked for more specifics and whether or not it was carried out by the military and said, "Well, it doesn't matter, but there was a major explosion in the dock area where they load the boats up with drugs. They load the boats up with drugs. So, we hit all the boats and now we hit the area. It's the implementation area. That's where they implement and that is no longer around.
It's worth noting that some reporting says that US special operations provided intelligence support for the strike, but a colonel who was acting as a spokesperson for Special Operations Command issued a flat denial, saying, "special operations did not support this operation to include intel support."
Some reporting says the Central Intelligence Agency carried out a drone strike on a remote dock on the Venezuelan coast that they believed was used to store elicit substances before it was shipped out of the country. US sources say nobody was present at the time of the strike. I'm going to stop right here. This reporting will most likely turn out to be wrong in one way or another. Either they struck the wrong spot, it was completely insignificant, or there were people present. Generally speaking, large transit and storage locations with large quantities of stuff packed for shipment are not left unattended.
Per their standard protocol, the CIA has declined to comment. Trump has so far refused to confirm whether it was the military or the CIA--either is an escalation. Under normal diplomatic rules, if it had been a CIA operation, that provided plausible deniability. It would be less of an escalation. But of course, that would also require that Trump not, you know, take credit for it. Somebody please walk that man around the building and show him the posters that say, "Failures are known, successes are not."
There's been no comment at time of recording from the Venezuelan government. This was probably a bad and unnecessary move, made worse by publicly admitting it. So, once it's all charted, Trump is now acting out the plot to Clear and Present Danger and he's announced the Patriot Games. Look, I'm just saying Russian sub captains, if you're listening, make the call.
Anyway, it's just a thought. Y'all have a good day.
