I spent over 100 days of deployment and that was rough, almost a year is unimaginable

My Dad was also in the Navy. He served as radio operator on the U.S.S. Ranger.

Serving on an aircraft carrier, he always had lots of stories, including the time he lashed himself in the bridge during a bad storm. And I was going through my mother's album the other day and found several black and white photos that my Dad must have taken on the Ranger.

and transited Hormuz many times. Very busy waterway. Omani and Iranian patrol boats were thick. Lots of sea snakes.
