2. Sounds like Vladimir Lenin

Though he died in 1924, his body is embalmed in a small building on one side of the Kremlin and there are huge lines waiting to look upon his face. At least that's how it was when I visited the USSR with my grandmother's peace group in the late '80s. Of course there are rumors that it's not really him, so when I passed by him I looked very closely and I decided this was him. I would guess that the main difference would be that no one would wait in long lines to gaze on a sleeping/deceased TSF.
