New Attorney General Vows to Have DOJ Go After Trump Foes - Glenn Kirschner

Shortly after being sworn in, Attorney General Pam Bondi published a memo regarding "ending the weaponization of the federal government."

The problem is, the priorities in this memo signal the death of the independence of the Department of Justice. DOJ's priorities will shift from focusing on crimes that impact the American people to seeking revenge against Donald Trump's foes.

The Bondi memo promises to pursue "Special Counsel Jack Smith and his staff," "Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg (and) New York Attorney General Letitia James, and their respective staffs," and those who investigated and prosecuted the crimes committed at the US Capitol on January 6, 2021.

This obscene pervasion of the rule of law and the independence of the Department of Justice constitutes ACTUAL weaponization of the DOJ.

This video discusses the new reporting and the rule-of-law--busting Bondi memo. - Glenn Kirschner - 02/06/2025.

1. Hopefully we still have functioning grand juries

Politicization will appear pretty transparent to most grown ups. Many on the right won't admit it.

7. Yes but I thought the indictments of Trump went through federal grand juries

Grand jury in D.C. for example, and there are special grand juries. Can they really purge all but right wingers out of all of them? Maybe given enough time, they can.

8. Oh, I see what you mean. And the problem with TFG was that he was never tried for his most severe crimes

Which are unprecedented in the history of the government. I expected him to be convicted for his theft of classified documents, jeopardizing national security. Reality Winner stole one document and got four years of incarceration, he stole bathrooms full of boxes!

And he attempted to overthrow the government on January 6th, his violent mob severely attacked and maimed law enforcement - and people died! He was responsible for that which the entire country has seen, yet that also never went to trial. Who in their right mind would vote for anyone responsible for these crimes against the country??

4. That's what we've seen from all TFG's nominees, starting with his dishonest SCOTUS nominees

And Senator Mazie Hirono was one of the very best in her questioning, including the totally unqualified Pete Hegseth.

5. Yes. For years. As for all the felon's next nominees, Democrats need to err on the side of assuming they lie.

For them, truth is what they say it is.

6. Absolutely. Some, like Hegseth, are obvious, but we didn't necessarily know about the SCOTUS nominees at first

Well, except for Kavanaugh.

The thing is, if they're nominated by TFG, it's a safe bet that they're part of his dishonest agenda.
