Trump panics, issues shocking statement - Brian Tyler Cohen

you know that things are desperate in
the White House when this is the
statement that Donald Trump issues
publicly he took to Twitter writing
"This is the hand of the man that the
Democrats feel should be brought back to
the United States because he is such a
fine and innocent person." They said "He
is not a member of MS-13 even though
he's got MS-13 tattooed on his knuckles
and two highly respected courts found
that he is a member of MS-13 beat up his
wife etc i was elected to take bad
people out of the United States among
other things i must be allowed to do my
job make America great again." And then
he posted a photo of ago Garcia's hand
showing four symbols and MS-13 above
them now there are two ways to read this
both of them absolute works of fiction
one is to look at MS-13 as if Trump is
trying to pass off those letters and
numbers as if they're on Garcia's hand
they're not they were added onto this
image after the fact in fact here's a
photo from El Salvadorian dictator Naib
Bukayle's own Twitter account from just
a few days ago showing Garcia's hand
with no MS-13 tattoos meaning Trump is
straight up gaslighting the people who
follow him but let's give a more
generous interpretation which of course
Donald Trump does not deserve but humor
me here let's say those letters and
numbers were never intended to look like
a tattoo but rather are there to signify
what the symbols beneath them actually
mean first of all Trump knows full well
that people are going to look at the
image that he posted they're going to
look at the letters MS and the numbers
13 and think that those letters and
numbers are a tattoo and yet he doesn't
care if his post is misleading because
the whole point here is to mislead but
regardless let's look at the symbols
that MS-13 are supposed to characterize
a cannabis leaf a smiley face a cross
and a skull certainly seem spooky and
mysterious only small problem there is
literally zero indication that any of
those obscure symbols represent MS-13
you want to know why because this is
what members of MS-13 get tattooed onto
them they're not looking for cute little
symbols because they literally have no
qualms about writing MS13 and sometimes
it's really big i don't know about you
but I'm not exactly seeing a whole lot
of discretion and subtlety when it comes
to the tattoo habits of these gang
members these guys aren't putting tiny
bunny rabbits and pizza slices on their
fingers it is giant letters and
numbers that literally just say MS-13 in
fact Oscar Martinez the author of the
book The Hollywood Kid: The Violent Life
and Violent Death of an MS-13 hitman
took to Twitter and wrote "I covered
MS-13 for over a decade its history
crime symbolism cruelty packs with
Salvador and governments i wrote a book
about it never ever did any of the
hundreds of sources I spoke to say
anything that would allow us to believe
Trump's strange interpretation of
tattoos in other words the actual
tattoos of MS-13 gang members negate the
theory being floated by Trump experts on
MS-13 don't know what Trump is talking
about and of course all of this comes
from a guy Donald Trump who is outright
desperate to try and gain some traction
among the lies that he is spewing and if
you don't believe me listen to him here
as you know the Supreme Court after we
get out all of the fake news from CNN
and all these other people we won that
case nine to nothing and basically
that's really a decision that will be
made by the government of uh El Salvador
because that's where I assume that's the
one you're talking about he's from El
Salvador staying there and he's from El
Salvador so that's a decision up to El
Salvador but it's interesting because we
won that decision nine to nothing in the
Supreme Court and uh if you listen to
the news you wouldn't know that you
really have no idea fair enough so it's
up to us okay trump says that he won the
Supreme Court case 9 to nothing which is
not true in that he lost the Supreme
Court case 9 nothing in other words he
is desperate to give oxygen to literally
any narrative he can find he will
outright rewrite history when it comes
to a Supreme Court ruling taking a
victory lap over a unanimous loss and
when that doesn't work he'll just invent
meaning to a weed plant tattoo to
suggest that it's gang related in fact
there's a skull on my shirt right now
and this isn't even something that I did
on purpose you can watch the other
videos from earlier today where I'm
wearing the same shirt am I an MS-13
donald thinks that skulls are some
sneaky little gang sign this shirt came
from like Urban Outfitters are they
going to send ICE to stake out the cash
registers and arrest anybody who buys it
if you've got shopping bags with a
smiley face on them uh because you just
bought groceries do you get sent to Al
Salvador now if you smoke weed or or use
any cannabis paraphernalia which is
legal in half the country are you going
to get shipped off to a foreign goolog
how about crosses when does Caroline
Levit get deported after all let's not
pretend that that cross is anything
other than a clear and obvious gang sign
if all of this sounds really stupid then
you agree Trump is desperate the reality
is that Trump and his gaggle of fascist
mouthpieces are taking these big swings
because they understand that the issue
at the heart of this matter is that
Donald Trump deported someone with no
due process and is looking for any
justification to keep him in that
foreign prison in defiance of the
Supreme Court ruling demanding his
release when I say that these are the
actions of a dictator I'm not being
facitious this isn't Donald Trump
threatening to act like an autocrat this
is Trump acting like an autocrat and
that's a point I discussed with Senator
Chris Van Galand who went to El Salvador
to connect with Kilargo Garcia so yes he
may well try to continue to defy the
court orders right now they're trying to
hang on this very thin read um of their
interpretation although they admit that
they have to facilitate the effort but
it's clear from the facts that they're
not doing anything uh to implement that
uh right now so this is why we also have
to make sure that uh we put pressure on
from every angle I will say and you made
this point at the beginning the Trump
administration is planning to use $15
million of American taxpayer money in
order to pay El Salvador to keep uh
Kilmar in prison even though the US
courts have found that he's been
illegally abducted and detained so I'm
certainly not going to vote for one
penny uh for that purpose and the
appropriations process going forward
this year um will be an opportunity to
talk about this but we look we need to
keep the spotlight on uh this you know
El Salvador right now is in violation of
international law that requires uh that
lawyers be able to communicate um with
people who have been locked up and
that's when there have been there even
when they're convicted criminals in this
case they haven't brought any criminal
charges uh against him so you're right
about the Trump administration's goal uh
they want to conflate this with their
overall immigration policy i think we
need to be very clear as to what this is
about this is about protecting due
process and if you don't protect the due
process of this individual then you can
forget about the due process rights of
everybody else uh who resides in America
because what bullies and authoritarians
do is they pick on the weak link first
uh but this would just open the door as
it's already been open but this would
open the floodgates uh to tyranny in
America so look we should absolutely
expect more lies more obfuscations more
denials more deflections because that's
all Trump has you've heard the saying
when the law is on your side pound the
law when the facts are on your side
pound the facts if neither the facts nor
the law are on your side pound the table
the table is effectively in pieces right
now which should tell you everything you
need to know about the legitimacy of
Donald Trump's claims.
