around the turn of the century. He had a not-so-squeaky-clean past, but he knew business and glass blowing. His father had been a glass blower in Sarajevo. My grandfather became the largest PPG franchise owner in the state of Ohio prior to the Great Depression. Many of the big houses and mansions in Shaker Heights, it was his company that did a lot of the windows. Had he not lost his fortune, I could have been an heiress.
