2. I've worked in Head Start in the Eighties.

It's more than babysitting while parents work.

We gave credible education to preschoolers and kindergarteners.

We taught them social skills.

Because of our demographics of children, we taught at least 4-5 languages (Spanish, Mandarin, Patwa, International Sign Language).

We provided nutritional meals that they wouldn't get at home.

We gave them love and support and confidence.

Our Head Start got 4-5 students into private schools after Kindergarten.

There is no comparable entity where these kids can go if you close Head Start.
