the orange idiot announces a new tariff deal that drops the percentage way down, but still screws us all, but it was substantial enough to certainly goose the markets. Which, in the end, is what all of this was about: market manipulation.

but then I thought, the orange idiot has this bizarre need for approval from strong authoritarians (daddy issues). And I thought, what did the orange asshole really give up to make this deal work.

because as of last week China was having none of it.

now "suddenly" there is a deal

1) much of the info we are getting out of the White House is more than likely bullshit
2) all of this is a desperate need by the orange idiot to get a "win" even though he completely manufactured this crisis
3) he needs to puff himself up before his birthday "victory parade" of vanity
4) he probably gave away the farm to china for this, because, China was already looking elsewhere and cutting deals. it's been long known that china wants to diminish the US dollar as the "world" currency.

as with anything this fucked up administration does, we will find out in short time how truly fucked up the deal was, not just for the nation, but for each and every individual citizen of this country.
