Tips: even if you're not using the account frequently check it - once someone hacked in from Europe and was trying to buy Rolex watches on my account a few years ago. I have never connected my account to a checking account so they couldn't really do anything and eBay fixed it (they can see a lot with IPs - that's how they traced where the scammer lived).

Paypal: I still have 2 accounts, one personal and one business from selling leggings ten years ago ... Use paypal and if they require a checking account for selling open a small one at a local bank so you know exactly what is coming and going. I would never connect it to a household account.

Descriptions/Shipping: Good photos and priority shipping make people happy. I was not selling to make a profit, simply unload things at a little better rate than a garage sale, and when I had time. It worked for me to go out of my way to make the customers happy, keeping 100% positive feedback is golden.

I mostly used my account for selling/buying collection items at first, and then maternity and kids clothes. It's been awhile since I actively sold, but I would do it again. I always found them ok to deal with as both a buyer and seller.

good luck!
