Why not? He's a billionaire, now.
Just forbid him to label it the official "Air Force One." That plane already exists and was purchased by the taxpayers for the president's use. It's perfectly suitable, and it's not the taxpayers' fault that he doesn't like it.
Refuse to spend millions+ to upgrade the grift-jet. Don't pay the fuel tab. If he prefers to use it instead of the aircraft that has been provided for him by the people, then let him. He can upgrade it -- or not -- however he wishes with his own money.
If the grift-jet can't communicate properly or is vulnerable to danger from our enemies, then so be it. That's why we have a Vice President and a line of succession. Donald Trump is an adult and should be free to decide whether he wants to be protected while traveling or prefers to make flashy entrances.
Trump has insulted the people of this country. What is provided for his use isn't good enough -- remember, he called the WH a dump. Now he's denigrating Air Force One. So let him buy and use what he wants. If it leads to his early demise, then it's nobody's fault but his own.
