Let's take a trip back and [View all]

remember our favorite record stores from when we were "kids" (I still am despite the wrinkles and gray hair) and getting that 45 or LP we wanted was so special. Mine was Radio Doctor's and another was Mean Mountain Music of the '50's and '60's. MM was 45 oriented and the place was on Oklahoma Ave. in Milwaukee and I never saw so many 45's in one place in my life. Every rocker, rock-a-billy, doo-wop, girl group, juke box crooner etc. you ever heard of and tons you never heard of were all there in well arranged bins with name dividers alphabetized and you could spend your life in there and not get through it all.

I put this up and a hat tip to debm55 for being the inspiration by asking her great questions of the DU community and prompting us for our fond memories. Merry Christmas to debm55.
