6. So far, everything I am aware of is going according to plan

Note: The plan is NOT what Trump was blathering about on Sunday morning. The plan is the unlawful capture and extradition of Maduro (wife, and son) to stand trial in the United States pursuant to the grand jury indictment.

Trump's blathering had no more to do with the plan than did his blathering about making it a new crime to burn the flag (subject to new penalties) had to the reality of the executive order he signed (which simply instructed the DOJ to prioritize prosecution of other crimes which, incidentally, burned a flag in the process (like burning in violation of open burn laws - when the thing being burned was the flag).

This was designed to stroke Trump's ego, while creating a scenario to test the theory being pushed by the 2025 folks that the use of military in support of other Federal departments (ICE, Justice) does not require congressional (or any other) approval.
