16. I remember when heroes were universally

treated with admiration and respect. Now I see so many of them being denigrated as if THEY were the criminals.

There was nothing political about what Fanone and the other capital police did on Jan 6 - they did their jobs and saved lives at great personal risk to their own safety. Then the actual criminals get out of jail and the heroes are treated like crap even by many of the people they were protecting.

It brings to mind the way republicans treated John Kerry in 2004. He was a legitimate war hero and republicans made a mockery out of his sacrifices. Republican voters (the pre-MAGATs) wore purple Band-Aids during campaign events, which was absolutely disgusting.

These clowns pay lip service to our troops, vets, and law enforcement, but in real life they ridicule them. Makes you wonder who they root for in the movies and on television. Father Flanagan was a freeloading leech, George Bailey was a bad businessman, and Atticus Finch was a loser?
