7. Miami's gone full on Nazi.

I've noticed the change. I lived there in the 1970s, had family there, and kept close ties over the years. If you had asked me 10 years ago where I'd retire, I'd have said either San Antonio or Homestead. But the last few year's I've been there, it's not felt at all like home, the Panamericanism is gone, the environmentalism is gone, the religious tolerance is gone. When I was in grade school there, the most certain way of getting punched in the face (by a non-Jew) was to trash talk about Jews.
