2. To your point of the partner in your law office who had such animus toward opposing counsel,

I went to Court to observe for one of my paralegal courses and the two sides were both arguing fiercely and objecting and seemed like they were ready to come to blows. At the end of the day, I got on the elevator with them and they were talking like best friends! "Hey, Jim, long time no see. How's the family? What's new?" There was absolutely no hint of the animosity that had just gone on inside that Courtroom. I was shocked but later I realized they were merely advocating for their clients and it was nothing personal. It was just their job.
