Due to issues with some of his psych medications that caused tooth root rot and bone damage in the jaw, which was impacting the stability of already installed implants.
He is getting both uppers and lowers.
Over the past five months, he's had to have all his teeth pulled, the bone sockets scrubbed, a bone growth treatment put in those sockets and spacers to ensure there wouldn't be any socket collapse or fractures while the eight existing implant settings were replaced with new ones for the temps and final dentures (which he will get after bone regrowth and implant settings are verified in three more months)
It is actually cheaper doing it all at once as dentures then replacing 20 more teeth one at a time over the next 10 years or so. $35k (insurance only paid $5k), one 3 hour procedure under sedation (which insurance didn't pay for) vs. $4k to 7k per tooth with an hour and a half under sedation (again, sedation is not paid for) each time a real tooth cracks. Or we could just pull his teeth as they crack and leave him with only 8 teeth to eat and talk with.
Dental health in this country sucks. It's apparently a moral hazard to not be wealthy and have bad teeth.
And if the Orange one is both an Adderall addict and has been suffering from dementia based mood swings since his last years on "the Apprentice" as reported, some of the mood stabilizers he could have been taking since then have been rotting his teeth ..
