1. It's so deceitful or disingenuous how many filters are applied to the narratives we get

how US institutions train people to see the world in polar opposites and therefore incapable of describing the good actions performed by countries different than us or of seeing the bad actions habitually performed by ourselves or our allies.

I’d prefer to weigh the world (if we must weigh it at all) in more objective terms.

Cuban doctors are seen as a great resource to their homeland and to many other countries.
Their method of handling hurricanes saves a lot of lives as well.

Here, there are active efforts to suppress the number of doctors, to put them in debt (wouldn’t they be more powerful or independent otherwise?) and make them a scarce resource.
