I've had several friends and co-workers who have died from pancreatic ca. Most of them lived around six months after diagnosis, so this would give sufferers a year. I have one friend whose husband died from pancreatic cancer and then she was diagnosed with the same cancer a few weeks after his death. Fortunately, they caught hers early and were able to perform a Whipple procedure followed by radiation and chemo. She's considered cured now, but it's nice to know about this medication in case she ever relapses.
