... so, sadly indeed, that would tend towards a specific inference.

Her graphic novel work (which seems to be the term in comics, even for non-fiction narratives) was certainly terrific, compelling stuff...

Gosh, now I'm wondering if current events in the Mideast just added to whatever level of despair she'd been grappling with?
