16. Mt Olive Pickle is in Wayne County about 50 mi east of Raleigh

Yesterday

and near Seymour Johnson Air Force Base in Goldsboro. Every year they host the North Carolina Pickle Festival in Mt Olive, which is a great deal of fun and is well attended, so they know a thing or two about what should or shouldn't be in a state fair.
