9. Opposition Research is a real thing. People make money doing it.

Monday

When a first-time candidate throws their hat into the ring... especially someone who's never held an elected office before... and even moreso if the office is something like the US Senate... these things are important and should not be overlooked. It's not like this is an election for dog-catcher or Registrar of Wills.
