Update: Unfortunately we had a last minute failure to launch so this is now scheduled for tomorrow (Wednesday) instead of today. Original message:It really is from us. We've put together a brief survey, hosted on DU, to gauge people's reaction to and experience with our redesigned layout, along with a few other questions.
If you receive one of these emails, it will contain a link to the survey. You're absolutely not required to respond, and you can unsubscribe from receiving any further emails by simply clicking the link in the email. If you do that, it's all good and you won't hear from us again.
If you choose to take the survey, it doesn't matter if you're signed in to DU or not. We're not asking for usernames or connecting them to results, so your response will be anonymous even if you are signed in.
If you don't receive an email today, you will likely receive one in future. We're staggering them over a number of weeks so that we can get responses from different groups of DU members, based on certain criteria that we're interested in (post count, join date, etc.).
It's possible that someone who receives the email might share the link with you, in which case you can take the survey. However, we have things going on behind the scenes to ensure that you can't screw things up by taking it multiple times, and it's possible that your responses may not be recorded. So for best results you should wait until "your turn" and follow the link from the email.
If you take part in the survey, your feedback will be much appreciated. But if you don't want to, no problem -- we appreciate you anyway. As always, thanks for being a part of DU!
