3. Given the renewed excitement among Democrats in the weeks following Harris' selection...

as the nominee, I think President Biden is in a small minority of those that think he could have or would have won. But, we’ll never know. I certainly dont begrudge him having his opinion.

Harris basically ended up running Biden’s campaign (as I would have done too in her shoes), so the major change was “who” was running. I think her being younger, a female, and a minority were pluses on the whole, so she was an improvement in electability over Biden. And we still lost. I dont know that any other plausible option would have won either.

I so hated he had to be encouraged/told/forced/“whatever it was” to leave the race. However, I was pretty pessimistic at the time. And given the circumstance at the time, Harris was probably the best option. Her selection buoyed my spirits and hope for a while until the media turned on her after the presidential and VP debates.

Just my opinion…
