though the government was a lot smaller, safety nets non existent, ect... Tariffs are a good thing when done right, made long term through congress and through negotiations with trade partners. No business is going to make any capital investments, expand because of an EO. tRump's plan will create more inflation, job loses, not gains and will further turn our allies against US which is what putin wants.
