Is Senator Murphy's analysis of the tariff policy in his BlueSky thread from last week. Tariffs have limited value as economic policy, but they have a lot of value if you are an authoritarian trying to seize control of the entire economy. As more market participants are reaching the same conclusion that Murphy did, they are moving more and more assets out of a market that appears to be lurching to authoritarianism.
