1. As with everything Trump, he has more appetite than resources and know how. Actually a good thing here.

Short of a major hiring or contracting surge for ICE etc., Fed people power is seriously limiting the ability to find, arrest, detain and deport immigrants in enough numbers to put a serious dent in the 11 million people Trump always says is the number. Last I calculated it, at current rate of the round-up, it will take them 36 years and that assumes no more folks are overstaying visas and such. While folks, some clearly innocent, are getting rounded up, it is largely a show for the MAGA base rather than an effective effort that can be sustained and succeed. Sort of surprised that MSM is not taunting Trump on this fact that the effort is hardly making a dent. Hmmm, he is not really fixing illegal immigrant situation, hasn't reversed or lowered inflation, has not achieved peace in Ukraine, Gaza or Yemen or balanced the budget and reduced the national debt. Just a blustering wannabe clown.
