In reply to the discussion: Karoline Leavitt Refuses to Rule Out Arrest of Supreme Court Judges [View all]JohnSJ
(98,883 posts)accusation which has NOT been determined in a court of law. In fact Leavitt's statements which are on behalf of the sociopath in the white house I wonder if they would invalidate any case they may have. In addition, trump and his goons are going to embarrass themselves because it will be very difficult for them to prove that the judge was hiding the accused, since he was in that court house for an entirely different matter that had nothing to do with his deportation.
As for a Supreme Court Justice, if these deviants think they can remove a Supreme Court Justice for a decision they disagree with, which is what some in that administration have threatened against the SC ruling on the way these deportations occurred without due process, there is such a thing as "Judicial Immunity".
For the question is if there was a specific crime such as fraud or theft by a SC justice, would a SC ruling be similar to the ruling they applied to the president? and even more complicated, would the sitting SC justice who is being accused be allowed to be part of that ruling against himself? There is nothing that requires SC justice to recuse themselves from a specific case.
If one look at some of the "gifts" made to Thomas and Alito by wealthy project 2025 benefactors, and the convoluted logic they used in Roe and other decisions, that comes pretty close to bribery, but who in the hell will prosecute it.
