62. I became an independent once

changed my party affiliation but never actually voted as an independent. I think it may have been the Iraq War that pushed me over the edge, and by the time of the next election I was a Democrat again. The government and politics is broken beyond repair, and I have no issues with anyone changing parties. If you're running for election in anything close to a red state I would think you would have to be an independent. The hatred of Democrats now, is something I've never seen. I think it's the poisonous garbage talk that is so prevalent in our society. Has no relevance, and nothing to do with reality. Just suppositions, assumptions, accusations, toxic verbiage directed everywhere and nowhere. Damages to the human psyche is not limited to the GOP.
