The process is here - The Reconciliation Process: Frequently Asked Questions.

The "types" are -

  • "Revenue" (taxes)
  • "Debt" (debt ceiling)
  • "Outlays" (spending)

    They usually pair at least 2 as a combo and can also do a combo of all 3 (the "BBB" used all 3).

    They were planning on doing another huge reconciliation package this fall, with the assumption that Democrats would "cave" and pass an extended C.R. But when that didn't happen, this current shutdown has pretty much torpedoed their arrogant greed and sloth for now.
