What I remember from five years ago CDC/NIH/? was going to Stage ? vaccine trials for a virus for which there had been minimal deaths.

Indicated to me how much they were concerned about this one.

“ Nipah virus (NiV) vaccine development is advancing rapidly, with a phase 1 trial published in Dec 2025 showing that experimental vaccines are safe and produce a strong immune response. As of January 2026, no licensed vaccine exists for this 40-82% mortality pathogen. ”
