The people going for control have no allegiance to countries and no respect for any borders of sovereignty.

They are operating THROUGH countries today because that's how the ladder is built.

I am not so sure that China has ambitions of an authoritarian state where the Emperor of China holds everybody's fate in his hands. They have had no wars of conquest recently. and their meddling in the affairs of others has been mostly of self-preservation, IMHO. I would trust the Chinese long before the Saudis, for example.

The big threat is the Musks, Theils, Ellisons, Besos, Zuckerbergs etc. They have no allegiance to any country.
