1. Very to the point. And the Repugs with their skinny majority and internal rancor can be exploited for Dem gain

I even think there are places where Dems can form alliances of convenience with certain GOP factions based on mutual interest on a case by case basis. The CA wildfires is an immediate area. In agreement to support emergency aid to CA, Dems can say they will do the same when FL, TX, LA, etc. get hit by a hurricane or they can stonewall as the Repugs may be aiming to do on CA. Have to play chess, think many turns ahead.
