Not only is it a terrible tagline, it feeds into longtime Trumper nutbar conspiracies that the WaPo has actively been working in service of the Democratic Party and against all those poor maligned white folks in flyover country all this time...

Get ready for a lot more of those cliche "We stopped at a roadhouse diner in rural Indiana to hear what THEY think about diversity in hiring and LBGTQ rights...!" stories 🙄 Why doesn't Bezos just cut to the chase and just sell the WaPo to Donnie and Elmer?

If this wasn't a sign that true liberals and Dems needed to finally start creating our own exclusive media spaces and political ecosystems like the Trumpers have had for over a decade now, I don't know what is.

We used to have Twitter so Elmo bought it and made it a MAGA propaganda arm... We had at least a couple of safe spaces on CNN, MSNBC, NPR, major newspapers of record, etc and Donnie has bullied them all into obedience... Even with the utter dominance of Faux News, Trumpers weren't satisfied and have created what, 3 or 4 additional extreme right "news" networks in recent years? And I haven't even mentioned their death grip on YouTube...

It's no longer enough to have pride of placement on purportedly independent outlets anymore; we need to start OWNING the outlets and only promoting our own voices... And it needed to fucking start YESTERDAY!
