2. FWIW - my ex has trial this week for DV/felony great bodily harm...

It happened in October and she's been "out" on the streets in a homeless shelter with an ankle bracelet for 6 months.

I finally get to testify. And She was definitely guilty, even the police report said they knew she was lying. BUT she still gets "her day in court" ....AND she got to be "free" during this whole time as they had hearings about her mental health etc...

So yeah. While I am looking forward to seeing her locked up...she got due process. And I wouldn't have it any other way. DA's etc are there for a reason, as are defense lawyers. It's a system that has been in place since law was recognized by civilizations as a way to hold society together.
I believe in the Law. I might not like how long it took, and I might even be upset if the Judge doesn't nail her to the wall...but I have to believe that it's a process and part of our Democracy!
