All my years of hiking & I finally saw a beaver & an owl on the same hike! It was early morning, & on a trail just down the road from me.
There's a guy on Facebook who lives in Saskatoon & when the pandemic hit he took to hiking along the river & discovered beavers live there & started sharing pics & vids of them. He studied & researched them & identified one as an older male beaver he calls Chewbarka. 
Sometimes his camera is close enough you can hear the beavers chewing. Enter "Mike’s photos and videos of beavers" into the FB search bar.
Fabulous, industrious creatures!! Adorable, too.
