I and my honey encountered the album in 1990.

I sing and play guitar for Please Call Me Baby and Fumblin' With The Blues.

Tom is soooo guttural and growly on the rest of his albums which is cool...

But... The Heart of Saturday Night , his lyrical tapestries, instrumentation, arrangement, and smooth vocal performances combine to make this album unlike any of the rest of his myriad of performances.

Our daughter grew up asking us to play Depot, Depot repeatedly...
She's an aficionado to this day!
