... and it was about the Beatles. A dad with a startled expression replied to his daughter behind him who had a Beatle by the arm, "A what followed you home and can you keep him?"
It appeared in the issue that came out the week they were on the Ed Sullivan Show. I got $75 bucks for it, and bought a new pair of ski boots. They were leather.
I was a junior in high school, and a celebrity for about a week. Then I went back to being the weird kid in the back of algebra class who couldn't even do long division. Still can't, and I'm two years and change shy of 80.
