he'd joined John Mayall's legendary Bluesbreakers (replacing Peter Green, who'd replaced Eric Clapton) 21 years before that MSG concert, and then he'd joined the Rolling Stones a couple years later, after Brian Jones had been fired. (He was recommended to the Stones as a replacement for Brian by both John Mayall and Ian Stewart, the keyboardist and Stones co-founder. Don't think he could've had higher recommendations.) Like Jerry, Mick's known for his improvisational playing, so I really wanted to find that video after first reading about it, and post it here.

We've had a lot of Grateful Dead concerts posted here, but I don't think this one had been, before yesterday.
